The two-day team-building training left a profound impact, providing us an opportunity for joyful relaxation, learning, and reflection.
The most impactful part of this team-building training was the “Desert Merchants” exercise. Our four teams, divided into two groups, lacked effective communication. Without fully understanding each other’s situations, we spent a lot of time planning what we should do and assuming how the other group could act. Although we completed the task within an hour and earned a hundred bonus points, our total score was only average.
This exercise sparked significant reflection. In our company’s work, it’s easy to make similar mistakes. We must first listen to our clients’ situations, thoughts, and considerations rather than imposing our subjective perceptions, confidently believing we’ve provided the best solution.
1. Unleashing Potential, Challenging and Surpassing Oneself.
As long as you’re willing to take the first step, what seems insurmountable will yield to you. In our lives and careers, we encounter many difficulties. When faced with challenges, whether we choose to confront or shrink away is crucially dependent on our attitude. Believing in ourselves and taking that first step, we’ll find that many situations will conclude perfectly.
2. Trusting Teammates, Collaborating, and Supporting Through “The Window of the Soul.”
The team-building training brought endless joy, firm belief, and courage. It also provided guidance and experiences that are a lifelong treasure! Here, every project relied on the team’s support and encouragement. From the outset, designing our team’s name, motto, and song indicated that the entire process depended on collective wisdom and strength. Everyone participated with an active attitude, contributing strength, ideas, and oversight in an organized and structured manner.
The training included many activities. The high-altitude break wasn’t physically demanding but was a psychological challenge. Overcoming fear meant success was within reach, mirroring real-life situations where, faced with difficulties, our resolve, proactive attitude, and actions can overcome any obstacle. The graduation wall tested the team’s ability to wisely utilize resources and work together cohesively. A smooth, 4-meter wall without any aids required all team members to cross to succeed. Impossible alone, yet achievable as a team. For the team’s goal, everyone should bravely lead, support, and help each other, perfectly embodying team spirit.
The training may have ended, but the emotional impact remains forever. Though short, the gains were substantial. Reflecting on the challenges and tests faced during the training leaves a deep impression. This training was not just a physical and mental baptism but also a driver to strive diligently in all endeavors. It represents not just simple training but a culture, a spirit, a philosophy; it’s also a mindset, a test, a style. It truly achieved the goals of understanding oneself, challenging oneself, and surpassing oneself, forging a strong, united, excellent team.
